The last week of December was spent vacationing in Virginia Beach, Virginia with one of my colleagues. During our travels we stopped at the National Zoo and the Capital Building in D.C.

We managed to find a few abandoned houses and interesting churches in North Carolina.

Some shots from zoos and wildlife refugees in Virginia.

A good friend of mine asked for a print of a butterfly for Christmas. Here are a few shots from Magic Wings, a butterfly garden in South Deerfield, MA.

Some various shots from around the yard

My style of wedding photography is more journalistic than your standard wedding photographer. The majority of my shooting is non-posed and is shot with intent of telling a complete story of the wedding from beginning to end. A good amount of effort is spent on the smaller details that are too often overlooked, but are absolutely worth remembering. The following pictures are from various weddings. None of these were posed, just shot as the day progressed.

Over 4th of July weekend I made a spur of the moment decision to take a trip to Canada.
While passing through Vermont I saw a sign for the Lake Champlain Islands. I drove for about half an hour only to find that the islands were burried under a thick fog. I did manage to find a few sailboats amongst the fog.

In Montreal I traveled through various jungle environments at Le Biodome De' Montreal. Gorillas, alligators, wild cats, bats and more were all there...even this really cool movie lounge.

After the Biodome I visited the Insectarium and the Jardin Botanical Gardens. Thousands of bugs and flowers...just like Heaven. Jardin was also full of friendly squirrels and lazy ducks.

After a night at the Casino, Montreal had taken enough of my money. While looking for a rest stop to sleep at I saw a sign for a zoo in Granby, Quebec. The next day was spent at the zoo, where I made good use of my extensive French vocabulary. Hello, thankyou, and where is the bathroom...all the important stuff.

In the end I spent $155. Not bad for a 3 day trip out of the country.
